My CRV produces a lot of black smoke when accelerating and when the turbo kicks in. It's got 114k on the clock, and I've only owned it for a couple of months, so not sure on it's true service history.
I've put a bottle of Wynns injection cleaner in a full tank of fuel, and it has improved the mpg, but still get the black smoke.
Does anyone know how long will it take for the infection cleaner to work & is it worth using the more expensive diesel with the additives in, think it's the Shell Nitro.
