I wonder if any one can confirm the diagnosis of Poor Quality Diesel causing Loss of Power whist driving
I was driving on the motorway and was overtaking a couple of other vehicles when I lost acceleration and speed dropped from 70 to about 65: after pumping the accelerator I resumed with full power and very luckily reached the nearside lane safely: (ps no warning lights came on )
It seems that a blockage had cleared ( dirt in fuel ) and I was able to travel without difficulty to near my destination;
I had a similar problem last year when I filled car with M********* fuel and was advised to fill up with Branded Fuel and take it for a fast run : this resolved the problem
Because I had not had chance to get to a Branded Fuel Station ( and because I had vouchers ) I had filled up with T*** fuel
Has the diagnosis of Poor Quality Fuel any merit or any other suggestions ( The Car is Booked in for Servicing )
