Can anyone help??
Bought a brand new car (won't say what brand) and it was incorrectly registered with the DVLA and SMMT as a manual, rather than automatic.
Car is now 2 years old and we have been trying to sell it for ONE year but no one will buy (or offer the asking price, as per Parkers) because it comes up in license plate searches as a manual which is worth less.
Manufacturer has corrected mistake with DVLA do V5 now shows automatic but SMMT, and hence any valuation website or online search by potential buyers is wrong. Stand to lose thousands of pounds on this car and dealer/manufacturer has washed their hands of it.
Anyone ever dealt with a similar situation or know how to seek compensation??
