Ford Focus 2006 starter motor

Hi, got a dodgy starter motor and have spent a few hours trying to remove it this morning. The final few parts I am really struggling with is undoing the wiring connection because I can't actually see them or get anything near them. Has anyone got any ideas on that one?

Also once that's done I can't really see how I am going to get it out of the engine bay either??
