Insurance query

When we bought our car the dealer registered the car in my wife's name . We had obviously taken out insurance but that was in my name with my wife as the named driver.
Didn't even look at the registration document,just stuck it in a drawer, Had an accident recently and dug out the form in case I needed any details to report and relised the error.
I'm the policy holder with my wife as the only named driver. Most of the stuff I've read online says it is not a problem however I'd like to be sure.
