Hi guys having some issues with my fiesta it's a '57 style 1.25 petrol.
A few months a go the car wouldn't start, sometimes it would give the symptoms of a flat battery and others it would just make a grinding noise from the starter motor, but would always jump start. recently the symptoms have started reappearing, the battery has been charged and it just grinds, I tried jump starting but again it just grinds.
My thoughts are swaying me towards the starter motor has gone, either it has packed in or the teeth on it combined with the flywheel teeth have worn? I'm hoping however it is a lot simpler and cheaper.
Can anyone help or shed any light on the matter?
