hey guys, got my brake pads, disks and brake fluid changed yesterday, ever since the brakes feel really spongy, almost ended up in the back of someone, after this i went to an empty car park to have a go at trying to stop quickly and even with me slamming my foot down on the brakes it didnt stop anywhere near as quick as it used to. it feels like i have to put my foot down a lot more than i used to in order to even notice the brakes kicking in.
Anyway, I know very little about cars and am a little nervous about going back to the garage if its just something that happens when the brakes are changed, so was wondering is this normal / is it likely something has been overlooked at the garage and i should go back?
not sure if related but when i picked the car up the ABS light was on, they said it was because it had been up on the ramp and should go off after a few miles, drove for a few miles and that hasnt gone off, but not sure if that just needs to be reset or if its related to the spongey brakes!
thanks for reading, any suggestions/ advice would be mega appreciated xx
forgot to include, its a renault clio (automatic) 2001
