I just remembered something I had to face not a while ago, it's about a crossing. So basically, I was driving through a 30 Mph street with my instructor. There was a crossing in front of us, can't remember if it had zebra crossings or not and no amber lights as far as I can remember, but it had an island. Let's get to the point. So while I was driving, someone crossed half the crossing (From the right side), and stopped at the Island, I thought I had the right of way, apparently not, my instructor had to break for me to give way for the pedestrian, because I didn't break. I asked him why I had to stop, he just said that the pedestrian had the right of way, so I was confused. The next lesson, I encountered the same scenario, this time my instructor didn't stop me, so I asked him again, and told him that the other day, you stopped me. He didn't answer the "Stop me" part, but said "If you were standing there, would anyone stop for you, or do you have to cross when it's clear" I answered "No, I have to cross when it's clear" So now I'm really curious, what's the move now? Did I have to stop?
- And could someone please tell me all the crossings, where I must give way? My test is tomorrow!
