Hi first post, hope someone can give me help.
Bought a 2008 Citroen C4 Picasso in August this year, near end of September the gearbox started making a grinding noise, took it back to garage for inspection, they suggest it maybe a gearbox bearing, this was replaced but noise remained. Was told car needed a new gearbox. Garage has had car since 28th September. Week and a half later a replacement gearbox was ordered this was fitted but found to be faulty, new gearbox was ordered, this came a week later and was fitted. From then until now garage has had 3 different mobile mechanics try to peform re programming the semi auto gearbox to the car computer but no luck. 2 weeks ago was told car was booked in to Citroen to do this re programming on the 21st and would be ready on Thursday 24th, called garage on 23rd and 24th for update, owner is not answering calls, managed to contact one of his colleagues and he knows nothing but promised he would take over the situation and get it sorted this Monday morning and for me to phone Monday lunchtime for update. If this is not resolved before the end of the year where can i go to escalate this and getting it sorted? Would C.A.B or Trading Standards help? Any help appreciated.
