A couple of weeks ago I had an advisory warning from the garage because the front off side tyre is worn in comparison to the other 3 tyres and is worn unevenly across the tread. ( outer 6mm, middle 4mm, inner 5 mm.) the car is only 12 months old and has done only 9,000 miles.
I have also had a drop link suspension component replaced by the garage last week following a knocking noise at the front of the car. This had got progressively worse over a period.
The worn tyre and broken suspension were both on the same wheel.
It occurred to me that these might be connected but the garage said they were not and the problem is due to incorrect tyre pressure. I check tyre pressure regularily and have not noticed any problem, although I have driven the car myself for only 4,000 miles.
Does anyone know if the broken suspension component could have caused the tyre wear.
Thanks
