I just tried to check the MOT history online with a car I am thinking of viewing this afternoon. I am confused to find MOT history of only the latest test done in September this year. The car was registered 2006. I next completed an online car check as I always do prior to viewing. It's all come back clear on preliminary check aside from the plate changes section. It states that there is one plate change recorded which was this year, the previously recorded plate is the same as the new one? Probably something simple but not seen this before.
I asked the seller about the missing MOT history online, he said he had a private plate on for the most recent test so maybe thats why and that he has all the previous MOT's including the latest. Surely the other plate would show on the check and not the same one?
