So I wrote my car off basically drove through a flooded road (it was dark and I didn't know the area) car most probably will be written off because of a flooded engine ( don't know much about cars) all I know is it's broken!
My V5 and licence are registered to my mums as I move all the time I'm in the forces! My car insurance is registered to my house and that's where it's kept I had to send a photo to the underwriters of my house (even though I was 200 miles away when I broke down) along with my V5 my licence and 2 utility bills.
They now won't pay out as my V5 and licence is registered to me at my mums address!!!! Surely they can't do this? Should I get a lawyer it's a 2011 car and I really can't to be stuck with a written off car that's as new as it is!
