Around 220,000 Vauxhall Zafiras are to be recalled for inspection in relation to the spate of fires that have afflicted the model.
~ the fault has been traced to a resistor and a fuse which control the blower motor, part of the cars heating and ventilation system.
Vauxhall has said that only Zafira models built between 2005 and 2014 are involved, and of those, only cars fitted with manual air conditioning, or no air conditioning at all. Cars with automatic air conditioning which have an Auto button within the air conditioning control panel are unaffected.
