Hi I'm new and I'm sorry if this has been answered elsewhere....
Went on Saturday to look for a new car, found one, dealer took my keys for the car to be part exchanged, came back and said yes, all in order...
Yesterday (Wednesday) the emissions light came on, then disappeared. Tonight (Thursday) driving the car to pick up the new car, no light.... Dealer took my car to park it round the back and said, how long has the engine management light been on? I said what? I know the emissions light came on yesterday but went off after 5 mins and I thought nothing of it, googled the light to prove it was emissions, he agreed and said ' good or I will get the comeback'
We signed the docs and I drove away in the new car, I'm just concerned that if the light comes on or stays on, am I going to expect a phone call, or some kind of demand for money from them... I honestly didn't think anything of it, and said if the engine management light had come on, I would have told him...
So do I need to be ready for hassle or not... I'm gutted
