Sorry of this is in the wrong area of the forum - i hope it isnt.
Thursday am my neighbour left for work about ten minutes before me, in the dark, between 6 and 7 am.
When i left, i noticed my wing mirror bent the wrong way, and some scuffed damage to my front door where it meets the wing, onto the wing in the same area, and on the bumper. My alloys were also chipped and scuffed. My car, prior to this, was an immaculate 15 plate Yaris hybrid in bronze.
My neighbours car has a wing mirror held on by tape, has marks all around it, and has a replacement slightly different coloured front bumper.
I wasnt home thursday pm but shes not been round to mention it and its now saturday. She did call round when i was in the bath abd my partner helpfully gave her a package we had taken in but not mentioned it....useful eh.
Where we park nobody else had access to and my car was perfectly fine at 11pm the night before when i locked it.
The damage to the door and wing i suspect will polish out, its not awful, the front bumper scuff can be picked off.
Her car has scratch damage in the correspinding area.
The alloy wheels annoy me, but the principal of this is whats bugging me as i look after my things.
Shes not a nasty person and i know its a careless accident, maybe shes so dizzy she didnt even notice it (though i suspect not, the wing mirror doesnt fold in on itself easily). Should i chalk this up as one of them things and ignore it? Should i mention it to her nonchelantly and leave it at that? Or should i measure the marks and go through insurance - because shes had ample time to approach me now and obviously doesnt care about keeping the peace?
