We have a 2010 Vauxhall Meriva B, with fairly low mileage for its age (just over 30k) that has just been through a service, and has a full service history.
Unfortunately on the drive to work this morning the check engine light has come on, but has no error code. In the past when this has happened, an error code is usually to warn the oil needs changed etc...
This is my wife's car and she tells me this is not the first time it has happened and apparently the light does go off. So my question is, is this likely to be a sensor issue? Or is it possible it is some sort of intermittent fault?
Obviously we can take it to a garage to get checked but that's at a cost we would rather avoid if it's not absolutely necessary
