Foreign car, foreign insurance

Hi there,

I am a student in England, my Jaguar is registered in Moldova (non-eu country). It is also insured in Moldova. I would like to bring it over here and I have a question about insurance. Would my Moldavian insurance be acceptable for driving in England? Or It depends on type of insurance? Or do I need to insure my car with a EU/UK insurance?
