Use of my car while living abroad

Evening all

I will be moving abroad for 14 months later this year and would like to know where I stand on letting a friend drive my car while I am away. The car is 2 and a half years into a 5 years interest free finance deal, does this matter? If I can let someone else use it while I am away, can it still be registered to my home address? And can the insurance be solely in their name?
