Motor traders turbo repair is failing after 3 months is he liable

Hi, bear with me I have just discovered this forum. We bought a citroen c3 picasso 1.6 hdi 58,000 miles with citroen full history, on May 11th this year, from a trader selling cars from home, after just over a week the turbo failed, big time, smoke everywhere! Motor trader agreed to fix the car. June 11th we got the car back and it has been working ok, until 5th September, when familiar noise from turbo. I took the car to my mechanic, inspected the turbo only to find the shaft wobbles freely (5mm side to side play), bearings have warn already, probably less that 100miles from another spectacular failure. I contacted Trader explained the turbo he replaced is now failing, his response "I spent all my profit on the first turbo, I replaced turbo, oil pump and pipework and I'll speak to my mechanic", mechanic tells him he'll speak to supplier. Over a week and I have heard nothing! I need the car repaired before I can sell it, the noise is noticable, I've been quoted £700 fitted for a reasonable quality turbo. Is the trader liable, his 'the month warranty' from sale date ran out 11th August, however the repair carried out in June failed within 3 months. I need some advice about what to do next. Contact trader and tell him he has to repair again? Write to dealer asking for a response in 7 days? or do I just give up? I have no paperwork for repair, but I do have a text from him acknowledging he repaired the turbo. Currently I have a car sitting on the drive which i am reluctant to drive because any time soon it will blow. Any advice is welcome. Is the trader still liable for the repair? I am going to have to trade the car in when a repair has been done, 2 turbos in 2000 miles...
