Hello, I have an issue surrounding car tax. I purchased a used car today and the guy i purchased it from didn't have the second half of the V5C form. I've taken the first half from him which shows he has sold the car to me and will duly post to the DVLA. However, because I don't have the V5C/2 New Keeper document how do I tax the car?
Can i simply go into the Post Office fill out a V62 and pay £25 plus the cost of car tax or do I have to wait until the new V5C form arrives in a few weeks?
