More than happy

At aprox. 6pm on 16th August my car engine 'blew up' with much smoke. I stopped on a fortunately quiet road, just south west of Kincardine on Forth. After shutting down I immediately called RAC. It was a wee bit slow with the calle centre but we got there. I was told I would have a 45 minute wait. Within 5 minutes I ws called back to confirm where I was and the RAC van was with me in 15 minutes.
There was nothing the RAC man could do as there was a hole in the engine!
From the back of the orange van came a tow rig (who knew such things lurked in a van) and he hooked me up and took me home to St Andrews, firstly to my garage and then home.
I have nothing but praise for this gentleman who was kind and considerate to a female alone with two cats in the back. I think his name was John and he had been with RAC for 35 or 39 years.
So prompt, efficient and friendly service. Well done.
