Skid Pan training - is it worth it?

Hi all,

This is my first post here :)

I am considering organising a skid pan training course for myself, my wife and my teenage son but before I do I wondered if anyone has done this sort of thing and if you'd recommend it? I obviously need it to be of value to us all rather than a bit of fun. Has anyone here taken a skid pan training course and would you recommend it?

We have these people just up the road, which would be very convenient, I just want to know that it'll potentially improve our driving:
