When I took my car in for its MOT I asked them to look at one of my electric windows which was sticking and not going up and down quite right.
They called to tell me they could order the relevant part/parts and it would cost £300ish
I told them to go ahead.
Once fitted they said that they couldn't quite get it to work right with the electrics and that I'd need to take it to a main dealer.
Now I'm reluctant to pay for anything but the MOT. I feel that if they couldn't complete the job properly they should've said so in the first place.
Is this reasonable?
