Hi all my neighbour and I don't get on and she has recently called the police as I went round to her house to complain about her dogs constantly barking throughout the night outside anyway to cut a long story short we don't get on and she has now a week after calling the police on me accused me of hitting her parked car, I know exactly when she is saying I've done it as I saw her go out and look around the cars after I'd parked.
I had parked close to the front of her car but know I never got any closer to it than as far back as I'd left it when I got out if that makes sense and the cars were not touching.
She has now gone to her insurance after telling the police in hit it and I have got an independent inspector coming to look at my car tomorrow, I have no damage on my car other than an old chip which is on the passenger side, the paint has been lightly scraped off her bumper below her driver side light no dent or anything this is the only damage I can see anyway.
I'm just worrying that the inspector will say our bumpers are the right height and I could have caused the damage. I've been driving less than a year and really don't want my insurers to settle that I could have done it as my insurance will then go through the roof won't it?
Anyone had any experience of this? Any thoughts appreciated cheers.
