I have a 2004 VW Touran 1598 black Petrol FSI car which after the oil pressure light coming on last week on the way from Kent, had to be recovered home. Since then £500 worth of repairs have been carried out only now for the gearbox to have gone. Now in a quandry with the age of the car about whether to proceed with a recon or used gearbox or to try and sell. Has anyone had experience of Premier Transmissions in Birmingham - they have quoted £595 for a gearbox.
