My Y reg Toyota Rav 4 has just failed its MOT on emissions. The garage said it would do a diagnostic check to see if it was the cat converter. They told me that it came back with no faults so they said must be the exhaust leaking. They put a whole new exhaust on...cost £339! Did a re test and it failed again on emissions. They said they did another diagnostic check and it showed a fault with Lambs sensor fault which meant I needed a new cat convertor and sensors. Is this right? can a fault like this show up only after a new exhaust is fitted? Any help would be appreciated!
