After many years of various Vauxhalls - Astra, Vectra my current car is a 2005 diesel A4, bought 5 years ago with 30k on the clock, now with 130k. That annual mileage is likely to continue. So.... Aside of the old saying "you pays your money, you takes your chance".... the question is.... Do I repeat the situation ie buy another 5 year old a4 with less than 40k on it and run it for 100k or look at a Passat (v similar I know), go back to Vauxhall and get an insignia or astra - for the same money as the a4 probably only a couple of years old with less than 20k and try running that for 100k? Or something completely different with my £12k budget. Any thoughts welcome. John.
