no doubt this will have been on here a few times.
Start with the necessary, I have an 03 fiesta 1.4 zetec, fly by wire throttle.
The issue is it wont tick over whether cold start or warmed up. It runs fine through the rev range and gears. I spoke to Ford and
asked about whether there was an ISCV on these cars with said throttle control. The word was NO. Ok then I am now wondering
what it could be.
I have replaced a pipe that comes from a black box bolted to the front of the crank case and leads to the electronic throttle body, this was split. No joy. So still the same. I have no relevant fault codes coming up to associate to the problem.
I was told that the throttle body or the pedal may need replacing. £££££££££££!!!
So any help on this as there is no obvious solution except replace things that are not proven a problem or to expensive to replace
just for the hell of it???
