Going through a red light

I have just got back home after driving through a red light by accident. If it was that I was going too fast and missed the red light then I would be cross with myself but I would know the fine would come through and that would be that. However I did stop at the junction which had 2 lanes. One to turn right and one to go straight on (bear in mind I am in France). When the lorry on my right turned right, I went straight on however I had a different set of traffic lights and I just wasn't concentrating. Looking back it was really stupid and I can't believe I did it. To make it worse there were cars coming from the right and they all started tooting me. I'm so worried I'm going to lose my license for dangerous driving when I was just being plain stupid - not sure now if there is a big difference!! Any advice to stop me worrying all weekend gratefully received!!!
