Hi, I have a Mercedes Sprinter 310d model (1999) 175300 miles on clock) which has a superb diesel engine (serviced annually) and has now been converted to a motorhome for travel into and around Europe.
Only outstanding problem is I cannot get COOL AIR blowing into cab (HOT only which is not ideal for warm countries such as France/Spain etc.) I have guessed that the heater control knob on dash board is not doing its job and is simply turning all the way around without making contact with anything. The Mercedes service engineer suggests that I take the instrument panel off and look for a small pin that he thinks has fallen off the control knob making it useless.
Question being, how do I remove the instrument panel on such a vehicle providing the service engineer is correct?
Would appreciate any helpful advice.
Thank you.
