On the night of the 11th June, coming back from France, I stopped overnight at South Mimms motorway services. I paid for the parking at the shop and continued on my way next morning. I know the system and have parked and paid before.
Now two weeks later they want £100 overdue parking charge. I've told them I paid within 20 minutes of entry in the shop, and that it was entered in book manually at the back of the counter, and on the touch screen till but they take no notice and sent another demand. Unfortunately I don't have the receipt, I threw it away when I cleaned the car out a week ago not think they would ask for it a fortnight later.
How do I get access the records in the book or on the touch screen till to proove I've paid? I guess I must be on CCTV as well. Any helpful ideas please. Who owns the Motorway services anyway to employ these heavy handed money grubbing non listening thieves?
