Hi,
Last week at the supermarket i pulled into a carparking space, there were a number of empty spaces around me and the space behind me was empty. i therefore put my car in reverse to straigthen my car up in the space. as i started to reverse a car pulled in behind me and went into the back of my car/i was reversing. i know it wasnt there before i started reversing as i checked in my mirror and my parking sensor would have gone off when i put it in reverse if there was something behind me - which it did not. at the time she was prepared to take responsibility but now i have contacted her to say i will be contacting my insurance and she said i reversed into her. bascially i dont know where i stand as i was the one reversing? i dont know if it is worth going through insurance or not or pay for the damage myself? also as in a car park and not on a public highway does that make any difference?
