A lot of chaps have commented on a EAC Fail so just thought Id advise on what fixes mine. I have an 03 Ford Fiesta and some time ago was getting the EAC Fail on my dash and wondered what it was in relation to. I googled to find a lot a different stories which I could not see any being my problem. Since then I had discovered it was a common fault that where the spark plugs are situated water let in resulting in damaged spark plugs over time. Everytime I get this fail I change my spark plugs and drain out some of the water and my car is good as new for at least 1.5 years. The fail happens again so I renew. Do not put porcelain spark plugs in these engines. Due to the water these perish and could damage your engine. A garage put these in my engine when doing a service and now im paying the price. I change these myself normally, give it to the 'professionals' and now it's costing. I thought most garages would know of this fault but clearly not.
