dropping case against third party.

hi i had accident last month, by third party fault, but they are denying liability, actually i was on traffic stationary on motorbike and the car infront of me reversed and crash my motorbike handle, now they are saying that it was infact me who hit them from the back,
i am upset because of this, anyway i want to ask if i drop case against them and against my own insurance company, and do my own repairs,
will i have to mention this accident again when purchasing new insurance?
