I currently own a Vauxhall Astra. My car is 4 years old and requires a new engine due to the cam shaft badly eroded. My car has done less then 14000 miles. Is this a common problem? Vauxhall customer services are saying they won't contribute to the price because of age. I'm having to pay £2600 to get my car sorted. Hoq long does it take for a cam shaft to erode?
