PLEASE HELP!!! - Car Jumping like a Kangaroo & losing power

I recently bought a Nissan Primera Flame 55 plate 1.8l from a Private Seller. I test drove the car but found no issues and did a thorough check before deciding to buy. No advisories on MOT which still has a year left. However, when I collected the car, it was a bit sluggish and jumpy. I put this down to the fact it had not been used in a while and had hardly any petrol. When I put more fuel it, I added Redex but to no avail. It was then driven for 100+ miles and had the occasional jolt back. My EML then showed. I took this to an ATS garage and it was diagnosed as P0171 Bar 1 Running Too Lean. ATS then reset the code and I went on my way. I then didn't use the car for 2 days and then drove 100 miles home. The car had gone into limp mode and I could do no more than 60mph. I contacted my local mechanic, who has done a lot of work for and he suggested I bring it in to have another diagnostics check. No code showed and no EML indication. I then booked it in for a full service in the hope that it would eliminate the problem, but no it didnt. It still kept kangarooing. It seemed worse or felt like it was in limp mode when the headlights are on or indicating. When these were off, it seemed to run better. I had started to get fed up by now and asked the mechanic what can be done. Admittedly he said its difficult without him seeing the code for himself. Today, I had both Lambda sensors replaced but was aware it was a shot in the dark. It feels as though its worse! The kangarooing is more frequent. When idle, the revs drop to about 300 & kicks itself up to a 1000 without me touching the gas pedal. When driving it feels as the car has lost power & wants to stall. I give the engine a little rev and it kicks in and I move but again it starts to kangaroo. I have noticed that when I unscrew my petrol cap, there is a long hiss as if its expelling air/pressure. I have loosened the cap and it drives slightly better. Hopefully someone knows what's wrong with it. I am at my wits end & I'm pulling out what hair I actually have left!
