Breakdown service is disgusting

I am a member of RAC for almost 9 years and I never called them for 8 years but since I bought my current car Renault, I had to call them 3-4 times for different reasons, and except the very first time all other times the service was a shamble, first bad experience was when my car broke down on a motorway and I had 2 year old toddler and one 9 year old kid, and it was around 10PM, the recovery came after 4 hours. Initially they said 90 minutes but then they extended time and I had to arrange private recovery for my family and I waited on motorway for rest of the time, eventually I reached home around 5AM. Second incident happen when my car’s alternator gone, it was on a morning around 7:00 when I phoned them and they said they will be at my place around 8:30, therefore I booked a slot in a garage for 9AM but they arrived around 10:00AM, and just now my car has another problem for which they said they will come in 75-90minutes but then after 20mins they called and said it will take upto 3-4hours. I am waiting for them, I think I should change my car but regardless of that RAC’s service is disgusting, they are not keeping their promises and also they are not telling right time upfront and the motorway incident was worst. I think I will switch from RAC to something better
