I have a 52 plate 1.8 focus diesel and sometimes, mainly after I have filled up with diesel at the garage because that's normally the only times it is only off for a few minutes before re starting again,it will take an age to start up again and turns over for ages.
It's the same if I try and restart it after only a few minutes if I pop round the shop or driop something off quickly.
It turns over fine just won't fire up, it has happened a few times in the warm weather as well as cold weather.
I use both BP and Shell for my diesel and never use anywhere else so I can't blame "cheap diesel" for the problem.
I've also changed the fuel and air filters as well and it is still the same.
Any ideas as to what this could be please ?
