A friend has been in an accident with someone driving a lease car. It happened outside of hours normally considered for work and their boss was apparently called to the scene ?! Leaving her very confused it has since been suggested that driving friends around on a night out would make the other parties insurance invalid. Is this true?
What will happen then for my friend in terms of pay outs, her car is a rite off and she has already been given 3 weeks off work.
Is it her duty to inform her solicitors / insurance company of her suspicions - the police have been neither helpful or clear and she is loosing sleep with worry.
Grateful for any help - she has to complete police statement soon and isn't sure to write what the driver told her about purpose of journey etc.
