My parents have a Hyundai i35 which has suffered numerous "faults" all relating to loss of power and eventually stopping completely. The dealers have had the car in several times "repairing" these faults, but the problem still persists. On the last occasion, they were informed by the dealers that the issue was traced to "water in the fuel" and that this was not covered by Hyundai warranty. Despite the fact that most petrol stations have fuel level alarms in their tanks to minimise the risk of customers getting water condensate in their cars, I find it very difficult to believe that my parents have been so unfortunate that they would have had this issue on so many different occasions without many others suffering the same fate. They fuel up at Asda around the Aberdeen area almost 95% of the time, but I'm sure many others would have had a similar problem if this was indeed a genuine "water in fuel" problem.
