Hi all, please bear with me as i have read many posts and most don't relate.
i have an 52 plate 1.8 zetec focus, a week or so ago it started to lose power in all gears, still drive-able but does pull away as it should, i can get up to about 50 or 60 mph if i am lucky with a fair wind and it's drinking more fuel than normal.
it was suggested it was the air Mass air sensor on the air intake so i swapped that out for a known good one and still no difference, i have no warnings signs and it has been on a computer thingy and no fault codes are present.
when you put your foot down it sounds like it is sucking in more air and sounds throatier than normal,
someone has else said it could be a coil pack but it idles nice, no misfires and smooth so no difference there.
i have changed the plugs and air filter after it happened but this has made no difference.
any ideas would be helpful.
