I'm being pursued by a national parking company - Excel - with a penalty charge - £60 now or £100 if you exceed the designated period, etc. I've written to them with an explanation - rejected right away, with an option to go through the disputes procedure (POPLA.) They say they've no record of me paying, etc. All the threads I'm reading say ignore them, despite all the threatening letters and so on, they will eventually go away. But I don't want the hassle, and the possible threat of court action with all the additional costs involved? What do you reckon?
