Hi guys,
Bought this car 2 months ago, very happy apart fron one thing.
The day after I bought it, I noticed that at very slow manoevering speeds (eg parking in car park, turning round out of car park etc), there is sometimes a noticeable "CLONK" (or clunk) sound from under the front of the car.
It mostly happens if I am on tight right lock, move forward & change the steering wheel the other way, or on left lock & move the steering wheel to the right.
Apart from that, it is perfect.
I spoke to the garage I bought it from (who put a new MOT on it for me) and they said "it can't be serious because it passed the MOT". They got me to drive to a garage who put it on a ramp for a quick look and they said that it looked like (something) had dried out.
I went into the garage again & said that this noise worried me, so they sent me to the garage who does all their preparation work to be looked at.
They mentioned "ball joint", so hopefully it is just a case of greasing them to solve it.
Could it be anything more sinister?
Cheers
Ian
