Hi, my 2000 1.4 focus zetec, has just started acting up, this morning it didn't want to start at all, i turned the key and got "click, click, click"
for the first couple of turns, i'm thinking starter motor, but then it tries to turn over very slowly, one more go and it bursts into life, but at the same time the clock needles did a full sweep, (don't recall seeing that before) while driving to work, all the electrics went off and on a few times before settling down, but wait, there's more, my wipers were moving slower than i've ever seen them move,
i've cleaned & tightened battery terminals to no avail, the battery is strong enough to go through all that and eventually start it without sounding like it was getting weaker,
i can't understand something affecting starting, dash clocks and wipers all at the same time.
oh, and if anyone is having central locking problems (not remote) mine will only work when it's 27c outside, a ford mechanic once told me it's so expensive to repair that if you can live with it then do that, he had one like it himself.
Anyway, i hope someone can offer any suggestions to help,
Thanks
