Claim for car damage, resulting in two claims and two excess payments

My satnav took me down a single track road, which looked like it was about to get even narrower....

I decided to perform a three point turn, rather than risk a narrow road, which may have gone on a long way.

Unfortunately, whilst performing the three point turn i damaged the rear and feont of my vehicle.

The damage to front and rear, happened within seconds of each other, so I assumed it to be a single incident / claim.

When i phoned the claim in, there was no mention of it being counted as two seperate claims with two excess fees....

It appears that after the assesment report was sent to the insurers, this decision was reached.

I have raised a complaint, stating that this should be considered as a single claim and incident.

Am i correct ?
