OK I'm sorry but I have one other question if anyone can help....... When I got the car noticed that the undertray was missing. Seems these break and get left off all the time as could not find second hand one. Citroen charge £155 for a piece of plastic! So I bought one from Ebay for £25.00 (Pattern part NeoBart Ltd). Great product, engine is so much quieter inside at idle it sounds as though it is not running. As I was replacing the cage bolt on the cross member at the rear of the engine (for this tray) the cross member seemed very shiney. The car has no leaks form under it, I always watch for stains underneath. I ran my hands over the member, and they got a kind of oil on them. Its not wet exactly, but my hands glistened dark brown and had a very strong smell that I recognise from years ago but can't put my finger on what it is. The engine and gearbox are clean, but this oil is just on the member and only underneath it. So, it does not smell like engine oil or break fluid etc, but a very old and mechanical smell to it. In April of this year before I got the car (Only done 2000 miles since April) I have an invoice from last owner to investigate inopp clutch, replace Dual Mass Flywheel, Clutch worn to excess, fit new clutch kit. So could this have anything to do with it? I had timing belt kit replaced along with water pump aux drive belt antifreeze oil & filter change and new turbo heat shield fitted day before yesterday. Could this be to do with it? Could it be some sort of penetrating oil that was used? Only thing is its so far back I think only if used on engine/gearbox mount. Would that mount by the gearbox have been undone for timing belt? Could it be hanging around from when DMf and clutch was replaced? Or do I need to get it looked at? Gearbox feels fine, no noise or issues. Now I have the tray I will see if it gets stained and it is a drip from somewhere rather than residue? Any ideas or suggestions? Please :-)
