Bike stolen but recovered before Third Party Fire and Theft insurance paid out

Could someone advise me what the insurance company is likely to say, the bike has been stolen, 4 weeks ago, we are in process of getting payment. The police have now recovered it after it was involved in an accident. If it is written off, as is likely will the insurance company still pay out as it was stolen in the first instance ?

Any information would be appreciated. Thx
