Hi all, i'm new to this forum so please forgive me if I have put this post in the wrong place. I wonder if someone could help me - my clutch went completely earlier this year so I paid a well known franchise to replace the clutch as I could not move the car and they were opposite where I lived. Not long after the clutch was replaced the clutch sounded "creaky" when pressed down and every now and again I would lose the clutch completely while driving until I pumped the clutch about 15 times and it would come back. I took the car back, although I didn't feel that confident with the mechanic's attitude as he said it may be the slave cylinder and that is not covered in the warranty and he just bled the clutch and said that should do it - well it hasn't "done it", it is still the same, creaky clutch and about every 10 days the clutch going. My question is: should the mechanic have checked the slave cylinder before replacing my clutch and do you think I should push for them to look into this more?
Thanks
Denise
